History:
This is one incredible story. Cedric
Cobbs spend his first five seasons in New England. He was the backup for
Corey Dillon until 2008 when he final got the chance as a starter and
rushed for a then career high 854yds. Before the 2009 season he was traded
to Cleveland in an unspectacular deal involving a second round pick. In
Cleveland he was brought in to be the replacement for Travis Henry who had
left the year before. The Browns didn’t know what they had got until
they saw him in camp. In 2009 he exploded on to the scene with 1447yds and
10 TDs and the rest is history. Two seasons with over 2000 rushing yards,
450 carries in 2012 and 20 rushing TDs in 2010. Ad to that some Super Bowl
wins and League MVP awards and you got the career of Cedric Cobbs. Its
impossible not to see him as the leagues best ever player but is his
relative short career enough to carrier him thru an All-Decade vote? |
